Star/performer

looking at the stars used compared to the stars that was going to be used for the production of
the film. looking at the film through the likes of the stars/performers could have potential for the critical approach however i don't believe that this would be the best critical approach for this film.

genre

The film has been categorized as a Drama mystery thriller as this is the categories the film is most likely to fall into however the film doesn't follow a category throughout the film as its always changing catergory leading from one to another as a result theres not enough consistency of genre in order to be able to approach the film in a critical way

auteur (in its broadest sense)

The film could be approach through the auteur critical approach however i believe it wouild be more effective to be approach alongside of the institution approach in order to be able to see all the confliction involved for the director to get the film to the standard of which he wanted the film to be.

social, political and cultural studies

with the film being released a few years before 911 the film has been accused of causing alot of social and political issues within america as a result of this i believe that the social, political and cultral studies critical approach would have alot to offer with "fight club" meaning this approach would be succesful

gender issues

The film would be easily approached through gender issues as this is one of the problems that the main character is talking about within the film and how he is in pursuit for beinging mascanility back into the world. also as the film only shows one women in the film this could potentially be a gender issue within the film.

ethnicity

The film fight club doesn't deal with any ethnicity issues within the film as a result ethnicity isn't an approachable critical approach for this film

institution

looking at fight club through the instituion would prove to be a good approach however this wouldnt be an effective critical approach unless it was approached unlong side of the auter approach in order to show the confliction between the two showing how much work was put in in order for the film to be produced.

technology

The film fight club has limited use of technology due to the year of production as they was limited with the technology they has avaliable in order to create the film. as a result the film hasn't included much technology in the production of the film as a result making the technology critical approach irrelevent as their isn't enough to talk about within the film.
